Endike Community Care held a special event to promote Dementia Awareness Week. A Buffet was available followed by music from the 60' 70's 80's with everyone enjoying a sing and dance. The beauty room was open for pampering sessions and nails were done by Lindsey. Keep Fit was in progress too. A separate quiet and tranquil room was set aside for families and their carers to come together to share experiences and views of loved ones with Dementia. On site Hypnotherapist Rachel Hoe held a meditation session to help people relax and unwind followed by refreshments. What a wonderful opportunity for people to talk, open up and express their feelings.  Endike's New Premises for 2017

ECCA have now relocated to the old George Ashton Building in Ashton Close. The move was a huge success and everything came together very well. To mark this occasion we held a wonderful party for our re-launch inviting John Middleton (Ashley) from Emmerdale as our special guest. The Lord Mayor, local councillors and the NHS, along with other dignitaries were in attendance including the Hull Daily Mail and Yorkshire television. What a fantastic day...

May we thank you for all your support you've been tremendous!

What a fabulous turn out for this event and John spent a couple of hours with us. He spoke with passion about Dementia Awareness and the support he has for organisations in the community who care for people with memory problems and other debilitating conditions like Alzheimer's saying "We should have more places like this to help people".

Unsung Health Hero Award 2016

'The loudest cheer of the night came when Eileen Wright, manager of Endike Community Care won the Unsung Health Hero Award. Judges said Eileen was "a friend to so many" and one of the best known  faces on Orchard Park, adding: "For no recognition or reward, she put others before herself, time after time, and was a friend to so many. Their lives have been enriched by knowing Eileen."

Food Bank Donations

The 'Endsleigh Holy Child Academy' has made a wonderful food bank donation. The bank continues to support families on low incomes and unemployed. As long as you can provide I.D and proof of benefits you can claim a parcel for a minimal fee once a week. The bank is used  regulary and is clearly needed providing support for the needy. Many thanks to 'Endsleigh' for your support!

For all of you donating, and you know who you are! Many thanks!

Hull City of Culture 2017

Endike Community Care has a truly amazing lady 'Maureen'  who's continued to attend the centre over many years. She's a great pleasure and privilige to work with and producing a brief video of her life story of dance and where it all began was a delight. The video has since gone viral and we are all so very proud of her. Her story has created great interest including an interview with the Hull Dail Mail and the Hull City of Culture 2017 team. Truly amazing!

Maureen still loves to dance with such beauty and elegence. Although she has Dementia she loves to socialise and interact with others at Endike Community Care and has made many freinds over the years.

Such a delightful and inspirational lady who is loved by all who meet her.

Dance, dance, dance little lady...

Maureen is a life long member of 'The Royal Academy of Dance' in recognition of her commitment and dedication to dance. Her chosen career path was set and then paved when she was just twelve years old and spanned her lifetime. Dance still inspires Mareen today and she will often dance at the centre with great pride.

Queens 90th Birthday Party Celebration

The Queens 90th Birthday Party was a spectacular event. What a brilliant and colorful day with a fantastic atmosphere. The Buffet lunch and entertainment was complimented by having Queen lookalike Margaret Southcoates in attendance. She spent the day with us and all members were mesmorized by her presence. Equally, they all loved having their photographs taken with her.

Our Tesco volunteers Trish and colleague came along for the day too helping out delivering souvenirs to all members.

Another wonderful party day which was thouroughly enjoyed by everyone who came along.

Traditional 'High Tea Party' courtesy of Tesco, Hall Rd Hull

A traditional 'High Tea Party' event took place courtesy of 'Tesco' on Hall Road Hull. Everyone enjoyed the traditional baking of Victoria Sponges, Scones, Pastries and other sweeties. This was a delightful time for everyone and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It's also the third time this event has took place so everyone had an opportunity to go. In addition this event will also become a part of our 'Magical Memory Tours' programme, as the memories of traditional baking came flooding back.

Winter warmers 2016

Endike Community Care has recieved a wonderful donation of hand knitted Hats, Scarves, Gloves and blankets courtesy of 'Claire' and her team from 'Knit-for-Nowt'. This donation is greatly appreciated and our members are sure to keep loverly and warm during the winter months. What a way for knitters to knit warm items and then donate them to the needy in local and deprived areas of Hull and across East Yorkshire. Keep up the good work ladies and thank you once again!

A wall of historic information

Each telling a different story

We design and create new displays for different party events making them as colourful, vibrant and as big as possible for those with impaired vision. All displays are designed for individual themes around the centre.

Christmas was a fun time and our full wall displays created a festive atmosphere. Everyone commented on how nice it all looked.

Let the party begin...

The trimmings and balloons in the main lounge area were the finishing touches to complement the displays and the Cinderella theme with the seven dwarfs adorned the notice board in the main entrance for the festive period.

Feel at home in this tranquil environment with a cosy and soft atmosphere. Our team cater for every occasion and all events are recorded for the video diary. The Jubilee party was a fabulous day.
